Oregon’s Finest Chardonnay & Pinot Noir Oregon’s back to back 2021 and 2022 Vintages are a source of exceptional high quality Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. As dedicated Morrell supporters, you know by now that we are very “pro” Oregon Chardonnay and the amount of high quality Chardonnay emerging from Oregon that competes with the finest of Burgundy is continually growing. That growth and diversity has also brought about a resurgence into Willamette Valley’s number one planted grape: Pinot Noir. The Pinot Noirs of 2021 and 2022 have just been stellar and with so many more producers becoming adept at Chardonnay and embracing white wine, we have seen a refinement and lift in Oregon’s Pinot Noirs. We are excited to be able to offer a stellar range of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir from some of the finest producers of Willamette Valley at this time. Bergstrom Vineyards, lead by Josh Bergstrom has entered its “Golden Era” turning out a marvelous string of vintages. Composition, recently featured in an in depth story at Decanter Magazine is the Willamette Valley project from Betrand de Villaine of Domaine de la Romanee-Conti fame. Eyrie Vineyards, the grandfather of the region and the pioneering soul that continues to be the first Grand Cru of Willamette Valley. Morgen Long, the one man show that is solely dedicated to Chardonnay that is breaking all the norms and pushing Oregon Chardonnay globally. Walter Scott, Ken and Erica have built their winery into the premier producer of Chardonnay across Willamette Valley while continuing to produce some of the finest single vineyard Pinot Noir. Virtually 50/50 in production of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir today, Walter Scott is the epitome of an Oregonian “Burgundy Domaine”. Cheers, |
