A seductive red highlighted by a silky texture and beautiful harmony with flavors of black currant cherry incense and flowers. This is supported by refined tannins and acidity that leaves a lingering juicy mineral finish. Best from 2025 through 2043. ?B.S.
Jasper Morris: 92-95 Points
The second vineyard to be picked 50% whole bunch vinification with 25% new wood. This is a draining sandy soil which gets direct sun only in the morning so not hot but dry. 12.8% alcohol. A dense dark black purple. For the moment the whole bunches speak quite loudly. Dark fruit rather exciting shows the oak a bit not all together but there is a lot of wine here. When this does come together it will be rather impressive.

From 70-year old vines that provided 50% whole bunch matured in 25% new oak the 2020 Chambolle-Musigny Les Hauts Doix 1er Cru has a ripe and quite generous bouquet with plump red cherries and crushed strawberry scents a touch of undergrowth emerging with time. The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannins fine acidity taut and fresh with a little more restaint on the finish compared to the aromatics. Lovely quite endearing red fruit here. Excellent.
