Aromas of sweet cherries cassis dark chocolate and spices framed by a deft touch of toasty new oak introduce the 2020 Mazis-Chambertin Grand Cru a full-bodied layered and velvety wine that's deep vibrant and concentrated. Built around supple tannins and lively acids it's remarkably harmonious for so young a Roty Mazis.
The 2020 Mazis-Chambertin Grand Cru has a slightly animally nose at first but it soon shakes off its feral element to reveal cassis and boysenberry fruit. The palate is medium-bodied with saturated tannins liquorice-infused black fruit with blood orange towards the confit finish. This should age well over the next 20 years.
