A sober yet fresh crimson ruby colour. Take the last two wines (Latricières and Chapelle) put them together then add something intangible et voila le Chambertin. A little white pepper to season the deep dark red fruit. Sensual yet with a superb tensile strength despite relatively late harvest this stays entirely in red fruit with more crushed strawberry than raspberry the light seasoning of white pepper and immaculate length. Not as immediately startling as their 2020 but very fine indeed. Infusion style! Superb.

The suave but punchy and much more mineral-driven larger-scaled flavors deliver the best depth and persistence in the range. While this should easily repay 12 to 15 years of bottle aging it s
