Not the deepest colour. The bouquet starts very suavely ripe red berry fruit then a hint of orange rind and a much fresher finish. Good to high acidity plenty of tension medium plus length. 80% whole bunch vinification for the Suchots. By Jasper Morris
Unfurling in the glass with aromas of plums cherries orange zest sweet spices and vine smoke Mugneret's 2022 Vosne-Romanée 1er Cru Les Suchots is medium to full-bodied deep and concentrated with beautifully supple tannins and pure fruit concluding with a long saline rose-inflected finish. - William Kelley
The 2022 Vosne-Romanée Les Suchots 1er Cru has quite a conspicuous oyster shell/cockle shed influence on the nose with lively red berry fruit. More undergrowth aromas evolve in the glass with aeration. The palate is medium-bodied with grainy tannins again a noticeable marine influence at play here with a delineated rather strict finish that will require 4-5 years in bottle. Very promising. (Drink between 2027 - 2047). By Neal Martin
Once again the ripe and expressive nose is both exceptionally spicy and floral in content with additional aromas of poached plum black cherry exotic jasmine tea and a hint of sandalwood. There is excellent volume to the caressing but quite punchy medium weight plus flavors that tighten up significantly on the dusty linear and bitter pit fruit-inflected finish. While this lovely effort should repay a decade or more of keeping it should be reasonably approachable after only 4 to 5 years. (Drink starting 2032) - By Allen Meadows
