The Maranges Les Plantes is another step up thanks to its 112-year-old vines which are within viewing distance of Talloulah and Hugo?s house. Again somewhat reduced this is deep rich and intense with beautifully balanced seductive fruit that is quite dark. The mid-palate is silky and creamy. What a hedonistic joy! (Drink from 2028) ? Very Good ? (90-91p) ? Tasted 31/07/2023 ? Truly Emotional

110 year old vines which still produce really well. Mid crimson colour. The bouquet here is once again on the wilder side. Much purer on the palate though with an excellent tensile strength the fruit also covering the tannins and a little acidity. A minor volatile note is well within bounds. This should work out very well.

110-year-old vines. 100% destemmed. Cask sample.Mid ruby. Lovely juicy nose of plump raspberry cassis and mature red cherry. Silky compact tannins. This is not extravagant but the concentration of old vines shows through. (MH) (Drink between 2025-2030)
