This may be too much for some Mosel fans but we find the intensity of the spice aromas in this rich expansive dry riesling something else! The impressive tannin structure and the creaminess from very long fermentation have given it great textural complexity rather than just pumping it up and the finish is simultaneously bold and complex. Drink or hold.

Picked late (in the second half of October) macerated for three hours and fermented down to nine grams of residual sugar the intensely yellow colored 2018 Riesling Schimbock offers an intense complex very fine and elegant bouquet with lovely slatey and herbal aromas. Rich and juicy on the palate this is a full-bodied yet refined elegant smooth and balanced not just powerful Riesling with an almost silky texture fine phenolics and a long intense beautifully grippy finish. The wine was bottled with less than six grams of total acidity (with malolactic included).
