The 2013 Langhe Rosso is the estate's young-vine Nebbiolo from Barolo and Barbaresco-designated vineyards. Already showing the first hints of aromatic development this mid-weight Nebbiolo is a terrific choice for drinking now and over the next few years. Crushed flowers tobacco cedar and dried cherries are all laced into the wine's fabric. The 2013 is a good option for readers who want to drink a Nebbiolo with hints of tertiary complexity. The 2013 spent three years in cask twice as long as the minimum required aging for Barolo these days. Antonio Galloni. Tasting date: August 2018
