Outstanding Producer note: As is his wont Rémi Jobard had little to say about the 2022 vintage other than briefly noting "the season was definitely hot and dry with maturities that developed rapidly. As such we picked early which is to say from the 1st of September and brought in yields that were about the same as we obtained in 2019. Potential alcohols ranged from 13 to 13.5% and were accompanied by average acidities. Stylistically I find the reds to reflect the warmth of the season but for reasons that I don't pretend to understand not the whites. In fact the whites have such good verve freshness and terroir transparency that you don't think that they were produced by such a warm vintage." Jobard further noted that as of the 2020 vintage all the wines are now shipped with wax capsules. Lastly I would observe that while Jobard always makes at least very good whites he has again done a fine job in 2022. Mid to full lemon yellow. For once the bouquet shows a little oak along with the soft fruit of Charmes. Mouthfilling in the best way though there is just enough tension to keep this in line. Good acidity behind medium plus persistence.
