A wild and wonderful abundance of floral aromatics jumps from the glass of this powerfully structured wine. Sure there are also currant and plum aromas on the nose as well juicy berry fruit and a nice streak of acid to balance the tannin on the palate but please take time to stop and smell the flowers.

Pretty cassis red currants tobacco and damp earth notes define the 2021 Cabernet Sauvignon a classic medium-bodied elegant Cabernet Sauvignon from this team. It has fine tannins a good sense of acidity and outstanding length.

The 2021 Cabernet Sauvignon saw approximately 50% new French oak but it comes across as substantially less voluptuous than either the Franc or the Merlot. Cassis and redcurrants marry easily on the nose of this medium to full-bodied wine which finishes crisp and dusty. With its linear structure pair it with rare beef or lamb if serving the wine young.
