WineCritics.com, Raffaele Vecchione:
Extremely complex and authentic on the nose showing subtle yet well formed notes of cherries, blackberries, sour cherries, sandalwood, incense, guaranà and cassis. Full bodied, perfectly mature tannins and a finale in splendid form whic closes with grace and taste. Precise and juicy, a really biting closure showing an animated finale with a slightly bitter feeling. One of the best Asinone ever tasted. Lovely now but better from 2025.

Bright ruby red. Fine nose of glacé cherries, ripe strawberries, a touch of cinnamon stick, dried oranges, bright spice. The palate has a great texture and nice freshness, great worked out fruit, expressive, juicy, great length and complexity, will be able to store for many years.
fsA burly linear red with ample blackberry black cherry and black currant fruit to offset the dense tannins. Vibrant energetic and balanced with a long saturated aftertaste echoing the dark fruit and adding a hint of tobacco. Sangiovese Colorino and Canaiolo. Best from 2025 through 2043. 1666 cases made 250 cases imported.
The 2020 Vino Nobile di Montepulciano Asinone holds the attention firmly with a mentholated mix of crushed blackberries cedar shavings and a cocoa dusting. This smooths across the palate with soft and plaint textures and ripe wild berry fruits as a gentle coating of sweet tannins mounts toward the close. The 2020 leaves the palate stained with primary concentration finishing long. This warm vintage Asinone will be the perfect option while waiting for the more structured vintages to mature. (Drink between 2025-2030)
