The 2022 Bourgogne Blanc comes from two parcels in Puligny and Chassagne-Montrachet. It has an attractive leesy bouquet as you might expect well-defined with a little more intensity than the previous vintage. The palate is well-defined with a touch of bitter lemon lending tension. This has a pleasant sharpness and spiciness probably destined to give 3-4 years of drinking pleasure. (Drink between 2024 - 2028)
Smoky aromas of petrol citrus and pear are trimmed in just enough wood to notice. The attractively vibrant middleweight flavors possess good detail and length on the bitter lemon-inflected finale. This appealingly dry effort should drink well young. (Drink starting 2026)
The 2022 Bourgogne Chardonnay offers up aromas of pear green apple hazelnuts and fresh bread followed by a medium-bodied satiny and fine-boned palate built around lively acids and concluding with a saline finish. It's derived from three parcels in the communes of Saint-Aubin Puligny-Montrachet and Chassagne-Montrachet The 2022 vintage is another success for Pierre-Yves Colin-Morey in style somewhat reminiscent at this early stage of the estate's 2020s.
