The nose starts off wild and herbal expanding into the scents of a classroom full of pencils and erasers and new leather bags with a whiff of vanilla-cherry cola. The spiced densely fruity palate shifts to the indulgence of a slice of cake soaked in rum.

Solid and centred alternating notes of sour cherries strawberries black prunes blackberries cherries fondant chocolate and mandarin blossom. Full bodied very smooth tannins of optimum workmanship and an agile dynamic finale which moves well through its progression. Pleasurable and essesntial. Better from 2025.

Well-marked by vanilla from the new oak this also features flavors of black currant blackberry flowers and iron. Racy even with vibrant acidity and a line of dusty tannins lingering on the finish.
