The 1999 Rosé Late Release is terrific. Rich deep and creamy the 1999 hits all the right notes. Wild cherry ginger spice and rose petal build effortlessly in the glass. Still quite fresh and vibrant the 1999 is superb. This was an especially low-acid year the lowest since 1959 at the time with very ripe Chardonnays and yet the wine is positively stellar. - By Antonio Galloni on March 2024 Roederer remains one of the most dynamic houses in Champagne. This year Roederer is releasing five vintages in their new Rosé Late Release program. These are original disgorgements but bottled with one gram less of dosage (8 grams per liter) than the original releases. That means that at a minimum the broad outline for this program was conceived thirty years ago a reminder of the amount of time that is required in Champagne from conceptualization to commercial release.
