The grapes come from the southern end of Mercurey. All destemmed and aged in amphorae. Mid purple possibly a less fine expression of pinot noir: there is some granite in the soil ? could be that or could be less noble strain of pinot or no whole bunches. It is still very well made and with a bit more cherry fruit energy then a gravelly drier finish.

Wine Hog

The Bourgogne Rouge comes from a plot of young vines in the Cote Chalonnaise north of Mercurey. It is a hedonistic expressive wine. Not big or even complex just light-footed and made with a gentle hand. As I said about the 2021 version it?s a summer wine as it?s forward and a vin d?émotion/vin de soif incarnated. Antoine used 50% whole clusters and raised it in 30% amphorae and 70% old barrels. (Bottled in August 2023.) (Drink from 2024) ? Good ? (86-87p) ? Tasted 10/11/2023 ?

Vinous

The 2022 Bourgogne Pinot Noir Jeunes Vignes is a delicate understated wine. Dried rose petal mint cranberry sage and dried herbs all grace this lifted ethereal Bourgogne. The 50% stems are nicely integrated. Aging was ten months 70% in neutral oak and 30% in amphora. - Antonio Galloni (Drink between 2024-2030)
