Jasper Morris: 95 Points
Over the crest from Ménétrières with more of a northern aspect as well as east lots of stones in a light marly limestone. Once again the Tournant de Pouilly shows a superb backbone rinsed in lemon and lime on a very pure white fruit apples in the orchard one feels to be hardly touching the potential of this wine. Stunning potential. 13.5% alcohol.
Vinous: 93 Points
The 2022 Pouilly-Fuissé Tournant de Pouilly 1er Cru which is located in the climat of Les Reisses has a sophisticated bouquet with crushed stone orchard fruit and noisettes. The 2022 is pure and quite seductive. The palate is nicely balanced with a keen thread of acidity. It's a little more tensile than the Les Ménétrières this year with a bright lightly spiced persistent finish. Excellent. (Drink between 2024-2040)
Burghound: 92 Points
Once again there is a touch of smoky reduction and oak toast that blurs the nuances of the ripe if still cool aromas of white fleshed fruit. The sleeker and slightly finer middle weight flavors exude evident minerality on the very dry and markedly austere finale. I would note that the dryness and austerity are exacerbated by noticeable gas so be sure to decant this if you're going to try a bottle young. (Drink starting 2030)
