Lifted aromatically with impeccably polished tannins and fine balance the 2020 Barolo Tre Tine is super-impressive. In its first vintages the Tre Tine was pretty imposing and linear from a tannin perspective but the 2020 stands out for its exquisiteness and balance. Like most wines in this vintage it is on the lighter side but that is in no way a bad thing. - By Antonio Galloni on November 2023 Sisters Marta and Carlotta turned out a gorgeous set of 2020 Barolos that embody the style of the year nicely. The wines are aromatic gracious and super-expressive. I imagine the 2020s will drink well with minimal cellaring. Other than that not much has changed here in terms of how the wines are made. The Rinaldi sisters continue to honor their parents' legacies crafting wines that meld together old-school soul with contemporary touches of added precision. Sadly Brunate was damaged by frost in 2021 and required considerable replanting so Barolo production will dip for at least the next several years.
vAromatic and graceful offering rose strawberry cherry menthol mineral and earth flavors. This red is balanced and stays elegant; however just so you don't forget it's Barolo there are firm tannins lining the finish. The aftertaste is subtle and persistent. Best from 2028 through 2047. ?B.S.
