Fine pink purple. A slight reduction here. Totally clean on the palate fruit which absolutely dances very pretty little starry pinpricks of red fruit and a fine long balanced finish. Perfect elegance precision and balance. By Jasper Morris
The fruit of a sharecropping agreement with Domaine Mugneret-Gibourg in lieu-dit Quartiers de Nuits Mugneret's 2022 Echézeaux Grand Cru wafts from the glass with aromas of plums and raspberries mingled with incense smoke exotic spices and orange zest. Full-bodied supple and fleshy it's suave and enveloping with a broad attack and an expansive saline finish. by William Kelley
The 2022 Echézeaux Grand Cru has a crystalline bouquet with energetic red cherries raspberry and crushed stone scents becoming more floral with aeration - rose petals and iris flowers. The palate is medium-bodied with fine tannins. It is quite structured and maybe a little austere yet it will flesh out during the remainder of its élevage and there is a lovely pepperiness on the finish. Excellent. (Drink between 2027 - 2050) By Neal Martin
Once again an expressive nose is exceptionally spicy with a cornucopia of aromas that include hoisin soy orange peel sandalwood jasmine tea plum and red and dark pinot fruit. There is again a highly beguiling texture to the energetic if not super-dense medium weight flavors that exhibit solid power on the balanced lengthy and more complex finale that is just a bit more structured. Excellent. (Drink starting 2034)
