Burghound: 86-89 Points
Fresher aromas include those of spicier red berries and an array of floral wisps especially violet. The middleweight flavors possess both a finer texture and more verve that carries over to the mildly austere balanced and lingering finish. This is a quality Bourgogne. Glowing purple. The nose has a certain weight to it without yet showing all its fruit. There is plenty of depth on the palate still with grainy tannins plenty to build on. Quite rugged without immense density behind but a pleasing dark cherry character.
