The 2022 Meursault Les Bouchères 1er Cru has a well-defined bouquet opening swirl-by-swirl with lanolin hazelnut and faint touches of crushed stone. The palate is a little reductive on the entry but there is fine tension throughout with praline and toasted walnut notes towards the finish. It may lack some depth overall though that would have upset the balance. (Drink between 2026 - 2045)
The Bouchères was not picked too early in 2022 as it was a little blocked, though it usually comes in first. Mid lemon and lime. A smiling and sunny bouquet, with good energy and fresh plum fruit at the front, good acidity behind, and length.

Cask sample. Extra complexity of aromas compared with the Meix Chavaux. Peachy fruit combined with citrus zestiness and an appealing floral edge. Good weight on the palate with plenty of concentration and a mineral line to finish. (AWH) (Drink between 2026 - 2032)
