The village Gevrey from Duroché is a compelling calling card with its deep colour fragrant red and blackberry fruit and floral notes. The texture is silky and compact yet vibrant and lively. The grapes are blended from nearly three hectares of vines scattered throughout the village although half is on the Brochon side (En Champs and Craipillot). The grapes for this cuvée are entirely destemmed and bottled without fining or filtration and with very little sulphur. The result is eloquent accessible and a perfect exemplar of the modern style of Gevrey. (Drink between 2027 - 2055)
A substantial cuvée from multiple plots. Fresh bright purple. Concentrated raspberry and bilberry good acidity no more than medium bodied but still with energy redcurrant and raspberry jam behind.
Notes of sweet cherries dark berries and licorice preface the 2022 Gevrey-Chambertin Village a medium to full-bodied ample and fleshy wine with a succulent core of fruit delicate tannins and a saline finish. Pierre Duroché has produced another superlative set of wines in 2022. -William Kelley
The 2022 Gevrey-Chambertin Village has a well-defined bouquet with dark cherries mulberry and light earthy scents. The palate is medium-bodied with fine definition. Quite an elegant Gevrey-Village with lilting red fruit and a dab of white pepper towards the finish. Lovely. (Drink between 2025 - 2035) - Neal Martin
