Wine Spectator: 93 Points
Intense and expressive this white features apricot peach briny mineral and pastry flavors. Balanced and supple with a firm line of acidity for structure. It all comes together nicely on the lengthy finish. Drink now through 2030. ?B.S.

The 2022 Pouilly-Fuissé En Vigneraie 1er Cru spends one year in barrel with 15% new oak and then six months in stainless steel. This has an attractive bouquet with hints of yellow plum and fine mineralité. It's less honeyed than others I tasted from this vintage. The palate is nicely balanced with a keen thread of acidity. It's a little peachy and spicy in style building nicely with a brisk finish. - By Neal Martin on June 2024 Following my few days in the Mâconnais I drove up the autoroute to see a couple of producers in the Côte d?Or. One of my appointments was at Domaine Leflaive to taste their 2022s and a couple of Mâconnais cuvées. Domaine Leflaive has expanded widely across the region and to quote one circumspect winemaker: ?Why do they want to do that when you are making Montrachet?? I posed that question to Brice de La Morandière who replied: ?We are proud of making an accessible wine in the same way as a Chevalier-Montrachet.? Their recent acquisition of the 11-hectare Domaine de la Jobeline will give them more fruit from Mâcon-Verzé Mâcon-Igé and a small amount of Mâcon-Solutré also Pouilly-Fuissé from En Vignoret and La Chanaux. However he mentioned that it takes time to integrate the new vines. I will seek to taste the full range later this year.
