Wine Spectator: 92 Points
A dense red bordering on burly with blackberry black cherry vanilla and sawdust flavors. Firm and concentrated yet it feels open on the lingering finish. Needs time to absorb the tannins. Best from 2025 through 2040. 67 cases made.
Burghound: 91 Points
Moderate wood frames ripe and fresh aromas that include those of herbal tea warm earth spice violet and various dark berries. The sleeker and finer but also more concentrated medium-bodied flavors also possess a lovely sense of underlying tension as well as notably better complexity on the balanced and sneaky long finish. This moderately structured effort should reward up to a decade of keeping. Worth a look. (Drink starting 2027)
