Jasper Morris: 93-98 Points

Rich deep purple. A sumptuous svelte richness on the palate backs up the refinement of the nose really classy long fine and charming yet with adequate tension. A mite above medium intensity without transcending the vintage. Tasted: November 2018.

Decanter: 97 Points

The Seysses have owned 0.16ha of Romanée-St-Vivant since 2005 so this doesn?t yet have the track record of its grand cru parcels in Morey-St-Denis. But what a brilliant wine this is fermented with 100% stems and aged in two-thirds new oak. Taut focussed and showing some of the monastic austerity for which the vineyard is famous this is very floral very chalky and incredibly long on the palate. (Drink between 2023-2035)

Vinous: 94-96 Points

The 2017 Romanée-Saint-Vivant Grand Cru has a very expressive raspberry coulis and wild strawberry bouquet slightly confit-like in style. The palate is medium-bodied with grainy tannin touches of truffle infusing the dark berry fruit and just the right amount of salinity and elegance on the finish which lingers in the mouth. This has a little more length than the Chambertin at the moment. Beautiful and alluring. (Drink between 2023-2045)
