Black raspberries spring flowers minty herbs and hints of white pepper all emerge from the 2022 Châteauneuf Du Pape and it's medium to full-bodied with a layered elegant mouthfeel ultra-fine tannins and a great finish. Fermented with 10% stems this incredibly floral seamless elegant wine comes closer to the style of Rayas than anything else I've tasted from the Rhône. This relatively new estate is under the impeccable guidance of Domaine de la Janasse?s Sabon family. The wines include a bevy of brilliant Côtes du Rhônes as well as a beautiful Chateauneuf du Pape that?s mostly from more sandy soils which gives it a terrific sense of elegance.
