The aromas in this 2011 are impressive with flowers plums and currants. Full body with velvety tannins and pretty ripe juicy fruit. A tad hollow in the center palate but it doesn?t matter - still outstanding. Better in 2017.
Wine Spectator: 90 Points
Shows a slight edge with charcoal game and tobacco notes out front. The core of steeped fig and macerated black currant fruit is studded with ganache and waits in reserve. Reveals a smoldering edge on the finish offering a flicker of game. Best from 2016 through 2023.
