The 2022 Morey Saint-Denis Blanc En la Rue Vergy has a slightly petrol-y and Germanic bouquet that opens beautifully in the glass. Quite intense. The medium-bodied palate has a generous entry quite spicy and phenolic finishing with a dash of lemon thyme and lemongrass. Another superb white from the Domaine. (Drink between 2025 - 2037)
Burghound: 89-91 Points
An exuberantly floral-suffused combination features notes of spice wet stone and discreet green apple hints. Once again there is a lovely texture to the refined and intensely mineral-driven middleweight flavors that also conclude in a markedly dry and moderately austere finale. This is relatively tightly wound and will need at least a few years to flesh out and add depth. Lovely. (Drink starting 2028)
