Work at Paolo Scavino has been hard the past few years. From loosing vineyards to acquiring new vineyards the range at Paolo Scavino has clearly changed and shifted. Through it all, the wines made have not suffered one bit and frankly the wines that the Scavino's have produced only seem to top the previous year, no matter the vintage.
Unfortunately Enrico Scavino passed away this year, leaving an ever lasting mark on the region of Barolo. HIs daughters Enrica and Elisa have been the hands on driving forces at the winery for well over a decade now. Their partnership and dedicated work is why we have the exceptional caliber in the wines today as Enrico, while active to the very last day, had the foresight to empower the next generation early to enrich the properties rich history and secure the future. The wines we have come to admire and collect seem to have no end in sight, as these two amazing women continue to push the quality at Paolo Scavino to new heights.
