Wine Advocate: 93-95 Points

"The 2015 Gevrey-Chambertin 1er Cru Aux Combottes has a tightly wound bouquet with crisp red berry fruit wet limestone and flinty scents that are subtle at first but unfurl with just a few swirls of the glass. This has a sophisticated bouquet that keeps you engaged from first encounter. The palate is beautifully defined with superb mineralité a little edginess developing towards the finish that shimmers with nervosité. The small amount of whole bunch fruit allows the terroir to really shine through here. This is superb and it will offer 20+ years of drinking pleasure (though I personally would afford it 3-5 years in bottle)."

Burghound: 90-92 Points

"A more elegant expression of cool fresh and airy aromas consists of various red berries spice and pretty floral nuances. The sense of refinement continues onto the lilting and detailed medium weight flavors that terminate in a mildly drying finish that I suspect is more due to the abundant gas than under ripe tannins; note that my range offers the benefit of the doubt."

Vinous: 90-92 Points

"Bright moderately saturated medium red. Deeply pitched scents of black cherry and menthol; showing less early perfume than the Clos des Ormes. Dark fruit flavors are sweet and concentrated with ripe acidity giving energy and definition to the middle palate. A rather powerful structured wine but with tannins that show the finesse of the year's better examples. The rising finish features aromatic dark fruits and lingering sweetness. This may well shut down in bottle but it's sexy right now."
