ORDER NOTIFICATION EMAIL
After you place an order, you will receive an automatic order
notification via email (assuming you have provided us with a valid
email address). This means we have received your order, but have NOT PROCESSED the order or CHARGED your credit card until we verify availability and pricing. If there is a problem, we will contact you before we proceed.
If all your ordered items are in stock, we then process the order and
your credit card is then charged. Please look over this order
notification email carefully and let us know immediately if there is
either an error in your order, or if you simply wish to change it. If
you notify us right away, we can typically fix your order before it is
shipped. Please include your order number (MW-xxxxxx) in your email to
SHIPMENT NOTIFICATION EMAIL
After we have processed your
order to ship, you will receive an automatic email notification.
Typically, orders that have processed to ship depart our warehouse
within 1 to 2 business days. Please take into consideration that we
process orders in our company office and only ship from our warehouse
on business days, Monday-Friday (certain holidays excluded). If you
have a "RUSH" order, you are probably better served by calling our
telephone sales staff so that we may endeavor to expedite your order.
REGISTER / LOGIN
If the website does not permit you
to register (which is necessary to place an order), you will need to
set your browser to accept cookies, or lower your current browser
your orders, but we do not collect any more personal information other
than what you provide us in order to fulfill your order.
MULTIPLE DELIVERY ADDRESSES
Our Web site allows you
to place a single order and send wine to different destinations. This
is ideal if you are placing a large gift order. Placing individual
orders can sometimes lead your credit card company to decline your card
placing many separate orders. This would not be an issue if you placed
one order. The shopping cart can guide you as to how to do this.
Morrell & Company does not
intentionally substitute wines or vintages without prior authorization.
If your selected wine is unavailable, you will be notified. The only
exception would be gift orders that need to be shipped to meet holiday
delivery and any such wine would be of equal or greater value. Because
vintages can and do change often, sometimes without notice from our
suppliers, we may not catch it in time and it may be shipped. If the
wrong wine or vintage is inadvertently sent to you, let us know
immediately if you wish to change it.
CONSTANTLY CHANGING, COMPLEX INVENTORY
Because of the high volume and sometimes chaotic nature of our
business, our inventory is constantly changing. New product shows up
daily and allocated items do sell out. Our Web site is updated daily,
though sometimes a wine sells out before the next update. Nearly all of
the wines showing on our Web site are available for immediate delivery.
Some wines, however, have not yet arrived in our warehouse. Orders
placed for these wines will be shipped to you as soon as they are
received; you will be notified if this is the case. Additional
quantities of wines that are marked "Out of Stock" may in fact be
available from our suppliers. Contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org
if our website cannot accommodate you. Additionally, sometimes an item
shows as being available, yet when we are down to just a few bottles,
that item may, in fact, have sold out or we may have fewer than our
website says. A bottle may have broken or a customer may be walking
around our shop with your bottle in his hand! We apologize for this. We
hope it's rare, but it does happen.
Every effort has been made to
stock sufficient quantities of the fine wines featured in our
catalogues and on our web site and to verify accurate pricing. However,
many wines are made in small quantities, subject to accelerating market
demands, with prices subject to fluctuations in currency exchange
rates. Should any item you order be sold out, our staff will contact
you regarding the disposition of the order. Prices are subject to
change without notice. Please note that Morrells is not responsible for
typographical errors of any kind.
ORDERS ARE SUJECT TO AVAILABILITY AND ACCURATE PRICE
can change due to shipping terms, taxes, items out of stock, a vintage
change or simply a change in price (without notice) by the producer or
distributor. You will be notified if there is a problem before we
process the order. Our Web site is monitored Monday-Friday from 9 a.m.
to 6 p.m. Eastern Time. It takes approximately 1 to 2 business days to
process your order, and then it is usually shipped out within 1 to 2
business days after processing. If you have a need for delivery by a
certain date or need rush service, please be sure to email, place the
appropriate comment in your order, or call us so that we can endeavor
to meet your deadline. We will make every effort to accommodate you.
However, our carriers may not guarantee a specific date shipped to
residences if shipped via ground service. Delivery schedules do not
apply in the event of service interruptions caused by events beyond the
control of Morrell & Company, including the failure of services
provided by our carriers. Shipping to a business address can usually
get your wine to you sooner. If you are within our local delivery area,
we may be able to get your wine to you the the next day either by our
company delivery truck or via messenger service (at higher rates). We
reserve the right to correct errors on pricing and to limit quantities.
DISCOUNTS/PROMOTIONS GENERAL POLICIES:
Email Discounts/Promotions are exclusive to Online Sales/Orders placed
via our Web site unless otherwise specified. Multiple Coupon Codes,
Discounts or Promotions cannot be combined. Only one eligible discount
per order. Spirits, Champagne, 'Cult Wines', Fine/Rare Wines, Wine
Classes, Special Events, Wine Futures and Gift Certificates are NOT
ELIGIBLE for discounts unless otherwise specified. All orders are
subject to in-stock and accurate pricing verification. We reserve the
right to adjust orders that ARE NOT ELIGIBLE for discount.
We process orders M-F, 9:00am to
3:00pm. Our hosting platform is located in Texas and all information regarding
timing is in Central Daylight Time (CDT). All Orders received after
3:00pm EST will be processed the next business day. In the case of
back-ordered items, or items that are not in-stock and require an order
placed to our distributors, we will short-ship the rest of your order
and ship the rest when those items come in (exceptions being gift
items). This is our standard practice. However, at your request we will
designate your order as "Do Not Short-Ship" and it will only depart our
warehouse when the entire order is assembled. Simply email us at email@example.com to request that your order NOT be short-shipped, or place the appropriate comment in the order form.
Your privacy is of paramount importance to us. We do not rent or sell
your email address. We provide nothing to outside companies that can
identify you. Statistical information only in the aggregate is
collected, with no names or addresses associated with it. We do
maintain a list of our customers' email addresses and periodically send
out special offers and promotions about our wines. There is a link at
the bottom of each email to allow you to unsubscribe from this list.
Whether you are located in New York, or are planning a visit, be sure
to check out our tasting schedule. Our shop, in the heart of
Rockefeller Center, offers many free wine tastings, frequently
accompanied by complimentary light fare, such as cheese, fruit and
