Cellar/Tasting Notes
Bamberger Meddersheimer Riesling is a fabulously juicy, succulent mind-bender, replete with flavors of glazed pears and exotic flora. 236g/l residual sugar(!) with 12.3g acidity racing to keep up and a nymphet-like 6.5% alcohol. This is not as complex as some Auslesen we"ve had which exhibit more minerality or,,, shall we say, "self-control?" But as a wine of straight, flat-out, hedonistic pleasure, it's satisfying in a way that Caligula would have appreciated. |
