Cellar/Tasting Notes
This latest creation from the historical Maison Ruinart, a non-vintage Blanc de Blancs made from Chardonnay grapes is sensational. Presented in a bottle that is the exact replica of the 18th century Ruinart champagne bottle, the superb golden yellow liquid glimmers enticingly through the clear glass. Irresistible and seductive, the champagne has a clean, intense first nose followed by warm rich notes of brioche, honey and roasted almonds with sweet lemony overtones. Wine Spectator (WS): 92 "A strong whiff of graphite turns quickly
to vanilla and coffee flavors on the palate, with a
candied citrus accent. Delicate and detailed, with a
firmness on the lingering aftertaste of vanilla and
lemon." |
