Cellar/Tasting Notes
Born in 1946, David Lynch is one of the most influential artists of our time. Viewers are spellbound by their mysterious power and beauty.
The gift box
First, the eye is drawn into a secret science-fiction world, with distant glimpses of light suspended in a nocturnal habitat. The "Dom Perignon by David Lynch" box is mesmerizing. The David Lynch signature is there, hidden in shimmering reflections that change with the light. Subtle relief is perceptible over the surface of this holographic world. The Dom Perignon gift box resembles a little magic theater, similar to the ones that David Lynch could have imagined. The silk ribbons at either end raise the curtain on the interior of the box, where Lynchian chiaroscuro silhouettes herald a world where mystery is a game. The iconic Dom Pérignon bottle is not far away.
The bottle
"An inanimate object can definitely come to life and have a depth and a personality. It has to do with light and form, sound, shape and movement. It’s a dance of many things."
- David Lynch
This limited edition is the ultimate expression of a fruitful collaboration based on absolute trust in the power of creation.
Robert Parker's Wine Advocate (RP): 94+ "Unfortunately there is only one new release from Dom Perignon this year. The 2003 is one of the most unusual Dom Perignons I have ever tasted, going back to 1952... The 2003 Dom Perignon is a big, broad shouldered wine... It is instead very much its own wine... The 2003 is an atypically, rich, powerful, vinous Dom Perignon loaded with fruit, structure and personality... 94+ Points." - Antonio Galloni of Robert Parker's Wine Advocate |
