Cellar/Tasting Notes
We’ve known Donald Patz and James Hall since they established their winery in 1988—we may have even been the first to carry their wines in New York. We tasted their wines way back then and were bowled over by their quality…and the rest is history. This is their bread-and-butter Chardonnay, consistently one of the best and a great value for the price.
Stephen Tanzer (ST): 91 "Subdued aromas of green melon and minerals complicated by a leesy suggestion of hazelnut. Fat, tactile and rich, but with firm acidity and underlying minerality leavening the wine's sweetness and energizing the mid-palate. Nicely rich and savory wine." |
