Donkey & Goat is a family owned and operated winery located in Berkeley California. Tracey & Jared Brandt craft their natural wines from Rhone varietals. Named one of five "Winemakers to Watch for 2011" by Jon Bonee at the San Francisco Chronicle, Tracey & Jared trained in France, and their maverick winemaking has helped pave the way for the natural wine movement. Our white Rhône style blend is skin fermented both Grenache Blanc and Vermentino and a little Picpoul! The final blend is 50% Marssane, 34% Grenache Blanc (with half skin fermented), 14% skin fermented Vermentino and 2% Picpoul. This is a white wine with a red’s backbone that has the stuffing for the fall and winter table.

"... Hazy yellow-gold. Pear skin, lemon thyme and chamomile on the intriguingly perfumed nose. Fleshy and expansive, offering gently sweet orchard and pit fruit flavors with a refreshing note of bitter lemon pith. The sappy finish shows good bite and a lingering floral note."
