A joint venture between the Hyde Family of Napa and the de Villaine family of Burgundy's Domaine de la Romanee Conti. The families, related by marriage, share long histories in French and Californian winemaking.
In HdV, and have brought together their knowledge and experience for the purpose of creating single vineyard wines from the slopes of Hyde Vineyards. This exquisite wine displays the traditions of France's greatest winemaking techniques and the special terroir of the Carneros terroir.

"The 2010 Chardonnay Hyde Vineyard is gorgeous. Nectarine, flowers, honey, mint, pastry and sweet spices all flesh out in the glass. Stylistically the 2010 is a bit bigger and richer than most HdV wines because of the heat spikes, but over the last year the wine seems to have found its sense of energy, tension and minerality. The finish is long, supple and caressing. Today the 2010 is in a beautiful place right now."
