Robert Parker's Wine Advocate (RP): 96-98 "The 2010 Chardonnay The Judge is quite reserved, especially next to the other wines in this lineup. Layers of rich fruit are hidden behind a wall of structure. Right now, the 2010 is all about potential, but the integration of fruit, oak and minerality is hugely promising." Stephen Tanzer (ST): 94-96 "Pale bright yellow. Stone fruits and a whiff of smoky minerality on the pure but subdued nose. Remarkably velvety and opulent but with outstanding citrus intensity and a saline element giving the dense mid-palate a downright ethereal aspect. Best today on the palate-staining, very suave finish, which offers an enticing hint of sweetness but a lighter touch than the Napa Valley version. This really dances on the palate." |
