Weíve known Marimar since 1975 and we sell the Spanish and Chilean wines of her brother, Miguel Torres, as well. They are a great family. Today, Marimar is upholding the family wine tradition in style with a 96 point Pinot Noir.
Marimar Torres has been involved in the wine business all her life. Born in Barcelona, Spain, she is fluent in six languages and holds a degree in Business & Economics from the University of Barcelona. She is also a graduate of the Stanford Executive Program, and studied Enology & Viticulture at the University of California at Davis. At Marimar Estate Vineyards & Winery, she directs the activities at the winery and in both vineyards - Don Miguel (named after her late father) in the Russian River Valley and DoŮa Margarita (named after her late mother) in the Sonoma Coast AVA, both in Sonoma County.

"Absolutely stunning, a testament to the vintage, the terroir and to the winemakerís impeccable hand. Itís delicious beyond description, offering wave after wave of cherry pie, blackberry confit, red currant, persimmon and cola flavors, finished with exciting spices. Already throwing sediment, itís so balanced in acids and tannins that itís gorgeous now, but should develop effortlessly over the next six years at the very least.Ē
