This wine is new to the Turley family and particularly close to their hearts, as their winemaker, Tegan Passalacqua, owns and farms this vineyard.
The Kirschenmann is a gorgeously perfumed wine, reminiscent of purple flowers like lilac or wisteria on the nose, as well as savory game and pepper. Light to middle-weight on the palate, bolstered by plenty of acid and extremely well-integrated, fine-grained tannins.

"A deep, resonant wine, the 2012 Zinfandel Kirschenmann Vineyard wraps around the palate with gorgeous depth. The flavors are wonderfully nuanced and layered throughout. A rich, voluptuous finish rounds things out nicely. Kirschenmann is another of the historic sites Turley works with. The vineyard was planted in 1915, with own-rooted vines. Mondeuse and Carignagne are present in the vineyard as well, a style of 'mixed blacks' that was typical of that era."
