The 2011 Collina Dalla Valle, a blend of 57% Cabernet Sauvignon, 42% Cabernet Franc, and 1% Petit Verdot, is crafted to be accessible and showcases the intensity and complexity that defines the wines of Dalla Valle Vineyards. Structured and dense, the wine is polished and fine-grained. With notes of red raspberry, confectioner’s sugar, vanilla, and all spice, it has a viscosity and length that is remarkable. This wine will provide enjoyment immediately and will age for 15-20 years.

"The 2011 Collina dalla Valle might even be better than the 2010. Plums, spices, violets, menthol, licorice and lavender jump from the glass in a powerful, vibrant wine loaded with pure class and personality. The 2011 is a bit more tannic and darker than the 2010, with striking aromatics, vibrant fruit and great expression of site. The tannins are going to require a year or two to soften, but there is no denying how absolutely gorgeous the 2011 is. If there is any problem with the 2011, it is that it might be too good."
