Cellar/Tasting Notes
Torres traces its roots in Penedes, Spain back to 1870, and four generations later, Miguel A. Torres serves as its President. Members of the fifth generation are already hard at work, keeping the tradition alive. We have known Miguel Torres for 35 years and have been carrying Torres wines all throughout that time. Today the Estate is making wines from many different regions in Spain and the wines are better than ever!
Robert Parker's Wine Advocate (RP): 90-93 "The 2009 Celeste is 100% Tempranillo from Ribera del Duero aged for 12 months in French and American oak. It offers up an already complex nose of cedar, exotic spices, incense, lavender, espresso, and blackberry. This is followed by a supple, spicy, ripe, layered wine that will evolve for another 3-4 years and drink well through 2021 if not longer." |
