Alazan is the top Pinot Noir and highly acclaimed due to its sophistication and depth. Named after Peter Kingston's burgundy-colored horse in the 1950's. Alazan is a limited, reserve bottling made from a few special cuarteles in the Kingston vineyard.
The 2010 is bold in the mouth, with elegant red cherry fruits and round tannins, enhanced by sophisticated notes of the mineral and sea-salt of the coastal vineyard.

"Vivid red. High-pitched red fruit and floral aromas are complemented by violet and licorice nuances. Juicy, penetrating redcurrant and bitter cherry flavors show very good clarity and pick up a smoky nuance with air. The tight, nervy finish leaves tangy orange zest and floral notes behind."

"A ripe, juicy Pinot, with bright acidity driving the dark cherry and red plum notes, picking up hints of licorice and underbrush. Complex and long."
