Cellar/Tasting Notes
The Broken Quartz Shiraz label is made from fruit harvested from the lower lying end of Block B and Block C. As a rule of thumb, these Shiraz vines carry greater vigour and fruit opulance than the more elevated vines.
Deep ruby. A perfumed bouquet combines blackberry, black cherry, cracked pepper and minerals. Juicy and tightly focused, with nicely defined dark fruit flavors and zesty acidity. Very bright and nervy, with good finishing cut and length. Wine Spectator (WS): 91 "Focused and distinctive, brimming with mineral accents that weave tar, basalt and pepper accents through the dark berry flavors. Comes together seamlessly on the hard, shiny finish. " |
