The 1997 Sori Paitin has an elegant fragrance encompassing very fine fruity notes of pomegranate, cherry and spices. On the palate, the opulent wine is soft and warm. It expresses good tannins in the mouth and a rather powerful structure, which gives this big wine a striking persistence.

"Red-ruby color. Pungent, penetrating floral/minty nose. Very intensely flavored and high-pitched; dark berry and mint flavors are given brightness and shape by firm acids. Quite stylish for a '97. Long and firm on the finish."
Wine Spectator (WS): 90
"Lots of chocolate and spice character, with hints of black pepper. Medium-bodied, with ripe tannins and a cedar, berry and meat aftertaste."
