The wine was aged 12-15 months, partly in medium-toasted French barriques and partly in 2nd year old barrels of 25hl. The result is a deep garnet gem whose rich bouquet recalls licorice, red berries. Brushwood, violets cinnamon and cloves confirmed on a full, well balanced pallet, showing complex flavors of ripe fruit and a persistent finish.

"Tightly wound, delivering sweet spices, cherry and licorice up front, with firm tannins on the back end. There's a nice tension here, and the acidity pushes the length, but this needs time."
"I love the nose on this, spices, ripe berries, and flowers. Full and silky, with a beautiful texture and a long, caressing finish. Balanced and very pretty, making this hard not to drink now, but it will be much, much better in four or five years."
