In 1970 Nicole and Bernard Chave bought a small property of 4 hectares in
the village of Mercurol and planted 1 hectare with Crozes Hermitage vines
in the heart of the northern Rhône. Today, there are over 20 hectares and

father’s and his own passion for their craft. Yann is a passionate man who
says his character speaks through his wines, which attract wine lovers
looking for a combination of subtlety and generosity.

Despite the name, Yann Chave is not related to the Chaves of Mauves. However, this under-the-radar producer deserves more attention from Northern Rhone enthusiasts."
