Cellar/Tasting Notes
Frank Bailly runs this consistent, solid-performer 20-ha Bue estate. The vineyards are located on the slopes of Sancerre, Bue and Chavignol. The blend of these three different terroirs (caillottes, terres blanches and silex) contribute greatly to the balance and consistency found in the wines produced by this remarkable estate.
The house style is not for artificial, enzyme-enhanced aromas and flavours, nor for heavy-handed concentration or weight. It is a pure, direct expression of skilfully grown Sauvignon Blanc from Sancerre’s inimitable limestone terroir.
"Remarkable and exuberant rose made from 100% Pinot Noir. Fresh, red berry-scented on the nose, the palate is juicy and lively with freshly crushed raspberry and mineral notes leading to a zippy, fresh ending."
