Cellar/Tasting Notes
Maxime Graillot, son of famed Crozes-Hermitage pioneer Alain Graillot, began making very small quantities Domaine des Lises in Crozes-Hermitage in 2004. Compared to his father's wines, Maxime’s have more heft and fruit, thanks possibly to the fact that he de-stems the grapes before the vatting.
Stephen Tanzer (ST): 91 "Vivid purple. Intense dark berry aromas show impressive depth and spiciness. Juicy, tightly focused blackberry and bitter cherry flavors gain sweetness and flesh with air, along with a suave floral quality. Violet and star anise notes linger on the very long, sweet, well-focused finish." |
