One of the most famous, most powerful and most luxurious of all white wines...
Domaine Faiveley combines the principles of modern winemaking methods with the time honored traditions that have been practiced for centuries within their 19th century cellars. The 2011 Batard Montrachet is the ideal representation of a Grand Cru white burgundy- reflective and elegant- capturing not only the history and tradition of the Domaine but also the terroir itself.

"Here the wood treatment is markedly less obvious with its slightly more complex aromas of white flowers, pear, spice elements and background hints of citrus zest. There is excellent richness and power to the big-bodied, concentrated and energetic flavors that possess plenty of mouth coating dry extract, all wrapped in a balanced, deep and highly persistent finish."

"Pale bright yellow. Deeply pitched aromas of gingerbread, smoke and nuts, with fruit in the background today. Quite rich for the vintage but harmonious acidity gives lift and a juicy quality to the mid-palate. Boasts saline minerality but also notes of yellow fruits. Most impressive today on the very long, dense, lemony finish, where spicy oak and nutmeg notes linger. At once serious and suave."
