Robert Parker's Wine Advocate (RP): 92 "The 2010 Puligny-Montrachet Les Chalumeaux is graced with considerable finesse in its citrus, white flowers and licorice. The Chalumeaux is one of the more restrained wines here. As such, it is quite a bit less overt and forward, but instead relies on its class and mid-palate length. There is a lot to like here. Anticipated maturity: 2013+. " Stephen Tanzer (ST): 93 "Very pale, bright lemon-yellow. Pure, high-pitched aromas of citrus peel, crushed rock and lavender. At once harmonious and sharply chiseled, offering a seamless, full texture to its mouth-saturating floral, mineral and citrus fruit flavors. From very ripe grapes, noted Matrot, but the sound tartaric acidity gives structure to the wine. Densely packed, vibrant and very long, finishing with noteworthy finesse. " |
